Due to COVID-19, Chamber Choir will participate in innovative choral training from August 25 through November 10 with one weekend retreat and a “reimagined” concert.
Adjusted rehearsal times are:
6:45 – 8:00 p.m. for full Chamber Choir
6:30 – 6:45 for Mens’ Ensemble.
New instructional components, focused on individual singer growth, are: up to two vocal coaching sessions in singer pairs with an MCCL director and a weekly “Tuneful Tip” video.
Chamber Choir is an auditioned advanced performing choir that builds on fundamentals learned in Carol and Concert Choirs. In addition, singers:
- sing SATB as well as three- and four-part men’s and women’s ensemble pieces
- continue musicianship and music literacy: score analysis, dissonant intervals, and master class opportunities
- participate in a national or international tour
Men’s Ensemble (Chamber Choir men)
Men’s Ensemble is for male singers who are members of the Chamber Choir. The ensemble is dedicated to nurturing and promoting singing for the changing and changed male voice and sings diverse repertoire ranging from unison to four-part harmony.
Late August through early May with a break in December
Chamber Choir meets 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.
Men’s Ensemble meets Tuesdays from 6:30 – 7:00 p.m.
