Grades 6–8

Concert Choir is an auditioned performing choir that strengthens skills learned in Carol Choir. In addition, singers:

  • strengthen skills learned in Carol Choir
  • develop a clear choral sound with consistency throughout the vocal range
  • continue small group musicianship classes, at-home practice, and choral disciplines: sight singing, phrasing, score study, dynamics, and performance practice
  • sing in two-, three-, and four-part harmony
  • learn music of different choral styles, historical periods, languages, and cultures
  • participate in a multi-day national tour

Duration

Late August through early May with a break in December and one early June concert, as well as a multi-day national tour in June.

Tuesdays from 6:45 – 8:30 p.m.

Tuition

Six installments of $74 + registration and uniform fees

Tuition Assistance is available. MCCL desires for all singers to participate in choir and works creatively with each family if finances are a barrier.

Additional child: same rate as Carol Choir singers (elementary)
