Thank you to everyone who supported the Do-Re-Mi-Dollar Rehearsal Marathon! Here’s a glimpse into the work and community building that happened as a result of your contributions.
During the Do-Re-Mi Dollar rehearsal marathons, singers connected with each other through intensive rehearsals, community-building games and activities, and workshops with special guests! Carol Choir singers learned about Israeli music and dance to enhance their understanding of a Hebrew song they are singing this semester, while Concert and Chamber Choir sopranos and altos worked with a professional dance instructor to learn Latin dance choreography for their Spanish-language song. Middle and high school tenors and basses enjoyed working on tone production and vocal technique in small groups with Dr. Jeff Gemmell, Millersville University professor.
To date we’ve raised $19,099 towards our $20,000 benchmark. If you would like to help us reach our goal and contribute to the remaining $901, please email choir manager Maria Bowman: firstname.lastname@example.org.
