A celebration of choral singing and the MCCL program

June 8 – 12, 2020

Next week, June 8 to 12, MCCL will celebrate the gift of singing, as well as provide opportunities for giving to support the MCCL program. Join us by singing along each day through a variety of virtual activities and events. Every morning during this week, we will post information on our Facebook and Instagram pages, our website blog, and via our email list. The schedule of group events and daily themes are listed below.

If you would like to be added to our email list to receive the daily updates, please email mcclchoirmanager@lancastermennonite.org.

While we could not have anticipated the curve in the road COVID-19 brought to our choir, MCCL staff and singers kept singing this spring! Music directors prepared at-home choral instructions, singers created videos of themselves practicing and staff responded with feedback, they met via Zoom, and the group put together a virtual choir of an MCCL favorite song, Praise His Holy Name (to be released soon). With sadness, we canceled all of our spring concerts, events, and summer tour, yet somehow singing on the journey at-home still brought glimpses of joy and we are eager to share songs as best we can in this unexpected way.

Throughout the week, there will be opportunities for giving . Our goal is to raise $12,500 to bridge the gap of lost revenue due to the cancellation of our spring concerts and summer tour. Any amount over this goal provides reserve funds to sustain the MCCL program as we weather the uncertainties of what choral singing may look like in the fall. All gifts will make a significant difference! Thank you for joining us. We invite you to give generously.
