The Mennonite Children’s Choir of Lancaster is pleased to announce our Spring 2021 concert series — Sing! Together. MCCL singers in kindergarten through grade 12 will share music outdoors on May 15 & 16 and June 6.

Throughout the semester, singers are rehearsing together on Tuesday evenings and recording their voices at home. Their voices will be mixed together into a beautiful choir. Guests will experience the joyful unity of choral music as singers perform live accompaniment using upcycled percussion instruments, body percussion, tone chimes, mallet instruments, choreography, tuned water glasses, and solfege hand signs.

In addition, MCCL singers are collaborating with Bryan Moyer Suderman of SmallTall Ministries (Ontario, Canada) and The Walking Roots Band (Harrisonburg, VA) on several choral pieces. Local guest clinicians Matthew Woodson (percussion) and Emily Grimes (choreography) are providing workshops and instructions throughout the semester adding creativity and joy to MCCL’s music.

MCCL’s mission is training children and youth to glorify Jesus Christ through excellent choral music. Our vision is to develop musical excellence and discipline in children and youth, equipping them for a lifetime of worship and service to the Christian church and community. Our songs reflect the musical diversity of the church around the world and through time.

All guests are asked to follow current CDC mask and distancing guidelines out of respect for MCCL singers, other guests, and LM campus. Thank you. We look forward to sharing music with you!
